From this classic brownstone on New York's Upper West Side to our southern roots, the concept for our locally-made, environmentally conscious candle line was born. After several years of corporate travel across the beautiful state of Kentucky, our founder conceived of a candle collection with fragrances that told a story of Kentucky traditions. Much research and testing followed and soon this vision became a reality: hand-poured, clean burning natural soy candles with carefully selected fine fragrances, featuring regionally and traditionally inspired designs.
Brownstone Candle Company was launched in 2009 with the introduction of 10 unique Kentucky Candle scents in a variety of containers. Each candle was branded with our own thoroughbred horse and rider symbol. Customers were instantly drawn to the concept and to fragrances that invoked memories of their Kentucky heritage, and they embraced the idea of a clean-burning candle made with American grown and harvested soy wax. Today, we hand-pour and package each soy candle with great care and pride in central Kentucky, and our offerings have grown to include collections to meet the needs of clients nationwide.
We appreciate the loyalty and support from each of our customers, and are excited to donate a portion of our 2016 proceeds to Food for the Hungry, a global organization that works to end child hunger and poverty across the world. For more information on how we can all make a difference, please visit their website: www.fh.org . We are proud of our state’s legacy and motivated to bring economic and environmental value to our state and country by using only quality materials sourced in the USA. We hope that you will enjoy burning our lovingly-crafted, southern-inspired, candles as much as we enjoy producing them.
